Turn Receipt Screenshots into Excel — Product Images Included
When you need a receipt screenshot to Excel conversion that keeps the product images intact, copy-paste falls short immediately. snapNsheet reads your digital receipt screenshots with AI and builds a structured spreadsheet — one row per item, with the cropped product photo embedded directly in the cell alongside the name, quantity, unit price, and line total.
The result is a clean, shareable Excel file you can download in one step. No store account connection is involved; snapNsheet works purely from the images you upload, so it handles receipts from any shop or app without requiring credentials or integrations.
What this screen looks like
A typical digital receipt screenshot shows a confirmation header with order number and date, followed by a vertical list of purchased items — each with a thumbnail image, product name, quantity, and price — then a subtotal, any discounts, shipping, and a grand total at the bottom. Email receipt screenshots and in-app order confirmation screens follow the same basic layout, though image size and text density vary by retailer.
When people use it
- A buyer screenshots several email receipts after a product haul and needs one consolidated Excel file to track what was spent per item.
- A small business owner photographs app-based purchase confirmations to log inventory received, wanting product photos embedded for quick visual checks.
- A personal shopper compiles receipt screenshots from multiple clients into separate Excel sheets to itemise reimbursement claims with visual proof.
Why doing it by hand hurts
- Typing product names and prices from a receipt screenshot by hand is slow and error-prone, especially when receipts list ten or more line items.
- Saving product thumbnails from a receipt, cropping them individually, and inserting each into a spreadsheet cell can take longer than the purchase itself.
- Receipts from different retailers use different layouts, so any manual template breaks the moment a new shop formats its confirmation differently.
How it works
- 1
Take or save your receipt screenshot
Capture the order confirmation screen or save the digital receipt image from your email or app. PNG, JPG, and WEBP files up to 8 MB each are accepted. Clear, high-resolution images give the AI the best chance of reading every price and product name accurately.
- 2
Upload and let snapNsheet read it
Go to snapNsheet.com, upload up to ten receipt screenshots at once, and the AI identifies each product row — name, quantity, unit price, and the embedded thumbnail. Detected rows appear on screen before you commit to downloading, so you can verify the output.
- 3
Download your Excel file
Confirm the list and download the .xlsx file. Each product occupies one row with its cropped photo in the cell, a line-total column, and a grand-total formula at the bottom. The list is also saved in My Lists for 90 days and can be shared via a read-only link.
What you get in the Excel file
- Cropped product photo embedded directly in the Excel cell for every item.
- Product name as it appears on the receipt, including variants or SKU details.
- Quantity and unit price columns, with EUR, USD, and GBP all recognised.
- Automatic line-total calculation and a grand-total formula at the sheet bottom.
- Up to 75 products per conversion across up to ten uploaded receipt screenshots.
Frequently asked questions
Does snapNsheet connect to my store account to fetch the receipt?
No. snapNsheet never logs into or accesses any store. It reads only the screenshot images you upload. That means it works with receipts from any retailer or app, but prices or product names that are cut off or hidden in the image cannot be read.
What if my receipt screenshot has a very long product name?
snapNsheet keeps the product name exactly as it appears in the image. Very long names are not truncated by the app, so they carry over in full to the Excel cell. Column width in Excel can be adjusted manually after download.
Can I upload multiple receipt screenshots in one go?
Yes, up to ten screenshots per conversion, covering up to 75 products in total. For best accuracy, each upload should ideally contain receipts from one order or one consistent layout; mixing very different receipt formats in a single batch can reduce reading quality.
What happens if a price is partially cut off in my receipt screenshot?
Prices that are hidden, obscured, or cropped out of the image cannot be recovered. This is a firm limit of working from screenshots rather than live data. Retaking the screenshot to include the full price column will resolve the issue.
How long can I access the Excel file after conversion?
Converted lists are saved in the My Lists section for 90 days. You can download the .xlsx file again at any time within that window, or share it with a read-only link. After 90 days the list is removed from My Lists.
