Build an Online Shopping Order Tracker in Excel from Screenshots
Keeping tabs on purchases across multiple shops gets messy fast. snapNsheet lets you upload screenshots of any online order confirmation, cart summary, or receipt and converts them into a clean Excel file — one row per product, with the item photo embedded, price, quantity, and a running total. No account linking, no browser extension. Just screenshots turned into a spreadsheet you can actually use.
Whether you track personal spending or manage procurement across several suppliers, an online shopping order tracker built from real order screenshots gives you an accurate, shareable record. snapNsheet handles EUR, USD, and GBP prices and works from any phone or desktop browser, so you can log a purchase the moment it lands in your inbox.
What this screen looks like
A typical screenshot for this task comes from the order confirmation or order history page of any online shop — it usually shows a list of items with thumbnail images, product names, quantities, unit prices, and a subtotal or grand total row. On mobile apps the same information often appears in a 'My Orders' or 'Order Details' view. Either format works as a source for snapNsheet as long as the text and prices are fully visible and not cut off at the screen edge.
When people use it
- A freelancer buys equipment from several suppliers each month and needs one Excel file to reconcile expenses before sending invoices to clients.
- A small business owner photographs order confirmations from three different wholesale sites to build a single reorder tracker with costs per SKU.
- A household manager screenshots grocery and household orders weekly to monitor spending trends and compare unit prices across retailers over time.
Why doing it by hand hurts
- Copying product names, prices, and quantities by hand from multiple order pages into a spreadsheet takes 20–30 minutes per order and invites transcription errors.
- Order confirmation emails often format data inconsistently — some show line totals, others only unit prices — making a uniform Excel tracker hard to maintain manually.
- Embedding product photos in Excel by hand means downloading each image separately, resizing it, and inserting it into the correct cell — a tedious process most people skip entirely.
How it works
- 1
Screenshot your order confirmation
Open the order detail or order history page in any browser or shopping app. Take a full-screen capture showing product names, quantities, and prices. Save it as PNG, JPG, or WEBP. Each file must be under 8 MB and show one order clearly for best results.
- 2
Upload to snapNsheet
Go to snapnsheet.com and upload up to 10 screenshots in one conversion session. snapNsheet's AI reads each image, identifies individual products, and extracts the name, quantity, unit price, and line total — along with cropping the product photo from the screenshot.
- 3
Review, download, and track
Detected rows appear on screen before you download anything. Check that names and prices look right, then export the Excel file. Your online shopping order tracker is saved in My Lists for 90 days and can be shared via a read-only link.
What you get in the Excel file
- One row per product with the cropped item photo embedded directly in the cell.
- Product name as shown in the original screenshot, including variant details.
- Quantity and unit price columns, with line totals calculated per row.
- A grand-total formula at the bottom of the sheet, summing all line totals.
- Support for EUR, USD, and GBP prices recognised automatically across different order formats.
Frequently asked questions
Can snapNsheet pull order data directly from my store account?
No. snapNsheet reads screenshots only — it does not connect to, log into, or sync with any retailer or marketplace. You supply the images; the AI reads what is visible in them. This means your store login credentials are never involved.
How many orders can I include in one conversion?
You can upload up to 10 screenshots per conversion, and snapNsheet can detect up to 75 products in total across those images. For the most accurate online shopping order tracker, upload one order per conversion session rather than mixing several orders in one batch.
What happens if a price is partially cut off in my screenshot?
Prices that are hidden, cropped at the screen edge, or obscured by overlays cannot be read. This is a firm limit — snapNsheet only extracts what is clearly visible. Retake the screenshot with the full price column in frame before uploading.
Can I track orders in currencies other than USD?
EUR, USD, and GBP are all recognised automatically. If your order confirmation uses a different currency symbol, the numeric value will still be captured but currency attribution may not be labelled correctly in the Excel file.
How long are my saved order tracker lists available?
Every conversion is stored in My Lists for 90 days. You can also generate a read-only share link to send the spreadsheet view to a colleague or accountant without requiring them to have a snapNsheet account.
